The Eagles jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Lauren Hernandez grounded out, scoring one run, Avery Gines drew a walk, scoring one run, Arreana Rivera drew a walk, scoring one run, Lauren Martinez singled, scoring one run, Koko Pottorff was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Jenna Kapelke singled, scoring one run, Hernandez singled, scoring two runs, Ireland Heer doubled, scoring two runs, and Rivera singled, scoring one run.

Broomfield scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Brynlee Taga singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Elyana Braly doubled, scoring three runs. They scored eight runs on nine hits in the top of the third inning. Heer earned the win for the Eagles. The righty gave up two hits and one run over one inning, striking out three and walking none. Anthena Lee took the loss for Prairie View Varsity Thunderhawks. The right-handed pitcher went one-third of an inning, surrendering four runs on one hit, striking out none and walking two. Maleea Taga pitched two innings of zero-run ball in relief. They surrendered zero hits, striking out four and walking none. Broomfield piled up 18 hits in the game. Braly, Kapelke, Pottorff, and Taga each collected two hits. Braly went 2-for-2 at the plate as they led the team with four runs batted in. Kiley Wheaton, Pottorff, and Anderson each stole multiple bases, collecting six walks for the game. Broomfield stole 10 bases in the game. They were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Anderson made the most plays with four.
