Kiley Wheaton collected three hits in five at-bats, as Broomfield defeated Windsor 17-7 on Thursday. Wheaton hit a solo home run to center field in the sixth inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the second inning. The Eagles got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ireland Heer singled, and Arreana Rivera grounded out, each scoring one run. They added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Lauren Hernandez grounded out, Wheaton singled, and Heer doubled, each scoring one run. The Eagles then added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Koko Pottorff singled, Jenna Kapelke singled, Hernandez grounded out, and Wheaton doubled, each scoring one run. They added four more runs in the top of the sixth inning on three hits. Pottorff singled, scoring two runs, Kapelke grounded out, scoring one run, and Wheaton hit a solo home run to center field. Heer earned the win for the Broomfield Eagles. The righty gave up eight hits and seven runs (five earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two. Brooke McGinnis took the loss for Windsor Wizards Varsity. The starting pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs on three hits, striking out none, and walking four. In relief, Malee Taga threw one and one-third innings of zero-run ball for the Eagles. The right-handed pitcher allowed one hit, striking out none and walking one. Broomfield accumulated 13 hits in the game. Wheaton and Heer were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits while hitting back-to-back. Pottorff collected two hits in four at-bats. Mailee Blenman led Broomfield with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Kapelke and Pottorff each stole multiple bases and the eagles ran wild on the base paths, collecting 10 stolen bases for the game.

Broomfield nabbed the lead late in the game in a 12-2 victory over Rock Canyon on Saturday. The game was tied at two with the Eagles batting in the bottom of the fifth when Breeana Fiala singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. They tallied six runs in the sixth inning. Elyana Braly, Avery Gines, and Jenna Kapelke all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Ireland Heer was the winning pitcher, The righty lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out four and walking zero. Fiala started the game for Broomfield and allowed one hit and two runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

The Eagles had 11 hits in the game. Caylie Eiguren, Kiley Wheaton, and Kapelke each racked up multiple hits with Kapelke, Wheaton, and Eiguren each collecting two hits to lead the way.

Broomfield didn’t commit a single error in the field. Eiguren had the most chances in the field with eight.

The Eagles had everything working on Saturday, winning big over Liberty 9-2 They got things started in the first inning. Broomfield Eagles Varsity scored one run when Caylie Eiguren singled.

Fiala was the winning pitcher. The righty allowed two hits and one run over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Ireland Heer threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Eagles tallied one home run on the day. Lauren Martinez put one out in the third inning. They racked up nine hits. Eiguren, Kiley Wheaton, and Fiala all collected multiple hits with Fiala, Wheaton, and Eiguren each collecting two hits to lead the way.
