Erie Captures Lead Early To Defeat Broomfield

Broomfield fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 4-0 loss to Erie on Wednesday. Erie took the lead on an error in the first inning.

Erie opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Erie.

A single by Jenna Kapelke in the first inning was a positive for the Eagles.

Breeana Fiala took the loss for Broomfield. The righty allowed six hits and four runs over four innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Charley Pitrat, Kapelke, Lily Zamudio, Fiala, Caylie Eiguren, and Ireland Heer each collected one hit.

Ireland Heer didn’t allow a single run against Fort Collins, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Broomfield to a 7-0 victory on Saturday

In the first inning, the Eagles got their offense started. They scored two runs when Caylie Eiguren homered.

Broomfield tallied three runs in the third inning. The big inning was driven by singles by Breeana Fiala and Lauren Martinez and a sacrifice fly by Charley Pitrat.

Heer was the winning pitcher for Broomfield . The pitcher went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out nine.

Broomfield y smacked one home run on the day. Eiguren had a homer in the first inning. The Eagles totaled nine hits in the game. Fiala, Kiley Wheaton, and Jenna Kapelke each had multiple hits. Kapelke, Wheaton, and Fiala each collected two hits to lead the way.

Broomfield Eagles Varsity seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Fossil Ridge. The game was tied at seven with Broomfield batting in the bottom of the seventh when Lauren Martinez singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Fossil Ridge scored four runs in the seventh inning, but Broomfield still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Fossil Ridge came thanks to a home run by Kodi Alvord and a double by Brooklynn Cardenas.

The Eagles captured the lead in the second inning. Kiley Wheaton drove in one when Wheaton singled. Broomfield tallied three runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Elyana Braly and Martinez, all driving in runs in the inning.

Ireland Heer got the win for Broomfield. The righty allowed two hits and one run over two-thirds of an inning, striking out one and walking zero. Breeana Fiala started the game for the Eagles. Fiala lasted six and a third innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out five and walking one
Broomfield tallied 13 hits on the day. Caylie Eiguren, Martinez, Braly, Fiala, and Jenna Kapelke all managed multiple hits for the Eagles. Eiguren went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead them.

Ireland Heer threw a gem on Saturday for Broomfield, allowing zero runs and besting Monarch by a score of 17-0

The Eagles Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning, when Heer singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. They tallied eight runs in the third inning. Lily Zamudio, Alexis Vanzee, Lila Emery, Charley Pitrat, Heer, and Kaia Weingardt all drove in runs in the frame.

Heer was the winning pitcher for Broomfield Eagles Varsity. Heer allowed three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Caylie Eiguren went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits. Broomfield was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Lauren Martinez made the most plays with four.

A walk-off single led Broomfield Eagles Varsity past Legacy 3-2 on Thursday. Broomfield trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Elyana Braly singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. The Eagles pitchers struck out eight.
